Recruitment

Recruitment of security personnel is done consonant with PSARA 2005 parameters as under-

Height

General Candidates - 170 cm (5ft 7 inch)

Gorkhas / Garhwalis - 165 cm (5 ft 5 inch)

Ladies - 160 cm (5 ft 3 inch)

Weight - Proportional to height and age

Chest - 80 cm and expansion 4 cm

Eye Sight - Distant vision - 6/6

Near sight - 0.6 (corrected)no color blindness

Hearing - no hearing defect

Fitness - physically and mentally fit

Age - 20 to 45 years with relaxation of 5 years for exservicemen. 55 years for supervisors and above

Education - 10th pass or equivalent with adequate English and Hindi reading and writing Capability

Composition - Ex-servicemen, exparamilitary personnel, ex- NCC cadets ex-police/Home Guards

Training

PSARA -2005 & PSARR-2009 training parameters are followed strictly.
The Training courses comprise of different modules as under

Level 1 - Physical Fitness and Drill.

Level 2 - Basic Security, First Aid, Duties of Security Guards, Supervisors, Gunman.

Level 3 - All type of Security

Level 4- Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting

Level 5 - Electronic Monitoring Systems

Level 6 - Personal Protection (only for Commandos)

Level 7 - Training on the job

Level 8 - Mob control, Explosive Devices identification, Disaster management, Knowledge of fire arms, elementary knowledge

Hawk Training Centre

Following trainings are planned and imparted at the Centre:-
1. Basic security training (20 days)
2. Refresher Training (7 days)
3. International Security Developments and Devices

Performance of Security Duties

1. On -the-job training for guarding, checking, frisking and duties at the gate office/Reception is given before and after deployment.
2. Inspections & Surprise Checks are carried out and recorded regularly.
3. Reporting habit of reporting all the incidents, observations, irregularities etc. to the administration promptly is inculcated in all the security personnel.
4. Supervision of each and every security person at all levels is a continuous process to nip the lacunas at the bud.

Fire Fighting

Fire fighting is an essential facet of security duties. Therefore, fire fighting training includes fire preventive measures, fire fighting, reporting, safety of men and material, salvaging and guarding. Knowledge of fire fighting equipment and their effective operation, theoretical as well as practical knowledge is imparted to all security personnel during training and at regular intervals.

Additional Facilities

Hawk Commandos (Armed and unarmed, civil, ex-army and ex-NSG specialists) can be provided on demand.

First Aid

First Aid knowledge is very important for security personnel to save precious lives during accidents, fires and natural calamities. It, therefore, forms an important part of security training.

Disaster Management

Disasters occur without any prior notice and at any place. Successful security personnel are those who are equipped and trained at all times to meet the challenges of nature and to protect lives and property endangered by a disaster. We train our men to fight successfully against any disaster.
